1. Dubai Shopping Festival - There is no better time to shop in Dubai than during the Dubai Shopping Festival. 3. Dubai Tennis Championships - One of the more recent additions to the international tennis circuit, the Dubai Tennis Championships' features some of the best tennis talent in the world, especially since its format incorporates events from both the Men's ATP Tour and the Women's WTA Tours. Both singles and doubles matches feature as part of the event. Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Roddick are just a few of the big names in tennis who have played in the Dubai Tennis Championships.
4. Dubai International Film Festival - Dubai has become one of the world's premier destinations for international film festivals and is considered to be the Cannes of the Middle East, during the Dubai International Film Festival. The festival is the platform for many feature films, short films and documentaries and sees entries from close to a hundred countries every year.
5. National Day Festival - Every year, Dubai comes alive to celebrate the day the Emirate was made independent of British rule. As part of the celebrations, Dubai welcomes locals and visitors alike with open arms into its most historical and prestigious monuments, malls and markets. There are a wide range of exhibitions and competitions held every day for four days. The celebrations also feature fireworks displays and parades. Children will love the National Day Festival for the various children-centred activities that are part of the celebrations. People from all over Asia and the Middle East come to Dubai to be a part of this event.
